Meet Loradana: Singer-Songwriter for the One True God

A couple of years ago, I met Loradana by "coincidence" at church and invited her and her sister to our young adults group while they were down in Naples, FL for vacation. We kept in touch here and there when she visited. But this spring, as she was once again down here vacationing with her grandparents, I discovered that she was ALSO a creative person—a talented singer-songwriter. How was this the first year I discovered this fact? It's beyond me! Being a creative and connecting with other creatives is something I've become increasingly passionate about! And I was ecstatic to learn about Loradana's creative journey in music.

While we chatted, Loradana shared her excitement about preparing for the release of a new song in June 2025. She was looking to capture some eye-catching iPhone footage at a local park in Naples, aiming to gather visuals for her music video. Her sweet Nonna and Nonno were totally onboard to take those photos and videos, rallying in support of their granddaughter. But as we talked about this I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to offer to help her out and collaborate on these visual creations, if she was open to the opportunity. She accepted with joy (obviously, or I wouldn't be writing this post, lol)!!

We quickly brainstormed our goals for the session. The plan was to create promotional video footage, as well as beautiful photography for her upcoming album art. In less than a week, we lined up all the details and picked a beach location I hadn’t been to before. It turned out to be a beautiful day—perfect for what we had in mind.

A little green pathway leading to the sandy beach seemed to be created just for this special song! Take after take, we tweaked ideas and recorded scenes for her music video. I felt blessed to witness her passion for music and meaningful lyrics as I previewed her upcoming song "Path of Truth". The moment was a true gift, allowing me to experience her beautiful, poured out heart to God through her music!

An artists' creation can tell you much about their story. Loradana has faced challenges that would test anyone’s strength, yet even after the lowest days, she has remained persistent, relying on God's strength to navigate through dark and frustrating times. Her story is one of resilience, encouragement, and faith in a victorious God. Through every note and lyric, she shares her journey, offering peace and hope to those who listen.

Though she protested that she never takes good photos, she made my job easy! It was a joy to capture her essence through my lens with the serene Naples beach as our backdrop. The sun dipped below the horizon and we got some cool photos with her key prop you will see toward the end of her gallery below! I love being a photographer and getting to do creative photoshoots for creatives. I’m so proud of Loradana for all her effort to create and put these songs of hope out into the world!
